If you're undecided about whether or not to book a fixture against Lashings, here are some testimonials from a handful of the many clubs we've played:

From all the members of the Sunday Sausage team, we would like to thank yourself, Scottie, Fitz and the team for a wonderful Golf Day, and thank you for the generous first prize it certainly put a smile on our faces when it was awarded.
Wayne Adams, PTSG

Hosting Lashings at Rishton Cricket Club in 2019 was considered by many members to be a gamble too far for the club: this despite Rishton being the club that had Sir Viv Richards, Michael Holding and Allan Donald amongst its past professionals!
They need not have worried. Dave and his team at Lashings would never let a club host a fixture if they did not consider them able to do so. Every step of the way we knew that Dave was only ever a phone call or e-mail away.  Anybody who is planning to host an event must be prepared for a sustained period of planning and organising, preferably with a sound group of trusted Club Members to provide support and reassurance (in addition to the Lashings team).

When the business end of the operation arrives (i.e. the week of the game) the pressure concerns and worries increase but we at Rishton Cricket Club need not have worried: the team at Lashings HQ were only too keen to provide reassurance, even down to sending on a group of officials and players on the eve of the game to meet the club members in their own bar.  This was only a little gesture, but it meant so much to us all at Rishton.

The day itself was truly memorable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for anybody connected with The Lashings World XI. The Lashings machine set up in a marquee at our club and provided a full day of first-class entertainment for our assembled guests.  They even played against our select team in a game of T20 cricket!  We cannot wait to welcome Dave and The Lashings Roadshow back to our club!

Andy Proctor, Rishton CC

Burridge Cricket Club were absolutely delighted to host their second Lashings World XI hospitality fund raising event on Friday 28 June. Approximately 260 guests enjoyed a summer marquee luncheon, with wine, followed by marvellous Lashings entertainment in glorious sunshine.

Robin O'Grady, Acting Chairman & Treasurer at Burridge CC said 'it was certainly the best Lashings event I have organised so far and the new owners of Lashings (Dave Fitzgerald & Scott Charlton) were so accommodating in ensuring it was a huge success. They laid on special guest appearances from Barry Richards & Andy Roberts, as well as adding Curtly Ambrose to their squad of legends for our T20 match.

It was a memorable occasion and we look forward to Lashings visiting us again at The Ridge soon.'

The Lashings event team took every trouble to ensure the day ran smoothly. They showed excellent commitment to the success of the day by staying in regular and frequent contact in the run up to the event. They were always available (often at short notice) to provide support to the club and to answer questions.

The day itself ran very smoothly. Scott is an accomplished host who put guests at ease quickly. Our guests
thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

I would not hesitate to recommend Dave and Scott to any club looking to put on a special event.

On behalf of Copdock and OICC and following a very successful day at the club on Wednesday 5th July, when Lashings joined us for the day to play a T20 game, I write to thank you for the Lashings input.

From the time you arrived at the ground its oon became apparent that the management team was a ‘well oiled’
machine. All the equipment was set up in a quiet way with us at Copdock being made aware what input was required to make a success of the day.

It was a pleasure to watch the Lashings players getting heavily involved in the training of close on 100 juniors we
had at the ground, from the club itself and local schools. The one thing that stood out for me was the encouragement they gave to the juniors.

To the T20 game itself, played in the spirit of cricket and no sour grapes on our part for coming second. I would not single out any of the Lashings players for special praise as I believe they all gave 110% to both the training and the game.

Summing up it leaves me to thank you all at Lashings for significantly contributing to a wonderful day at the club, which will be talked about for a long while.

I hope in the not too distant future we will be able to repeat this event.

Chairman Copdock and OICC

Charterhouse hosted Lashings for the first time in 2016. The event was an incredible success, raising money for Charterhouse cricket and the Lashings charities.

It was such a success that the school had no hesitation in booking a fixture for 2017. From planning the event,
to delivering a great day out for our guests, the Lashings team worked tirelessly to ensure that all bases were covered and the feedback we received from our guests made the effort worthwhile.

For clubs and schools thinking about hosting Lashings in 2017 I can only suggest you 'just do it' to coin a phrase. You'll have a great day, be backed up by a great team at Lashings and probably re book for the following year!

Martin Bicknell, Charterhouse School Director of Cricket and former Surrey and England bowler.

We were delighted to have Lashings play us on Friday 2nd September and end our successful 2016 season in style. Despite some rain and a crushing defeat, Burridge CC raised some much needed funds to ensure that we can look forward to turning out four adult league sides, a ladies XI and under-9s, under-11s, under13s and under-15s in the 20177 season ahead. We look forward to hosting Lashings again in September 2017.

Hosting Lashings on the May bank holiday was a great way to kick off our season.

Despite a lack of sunshine, together we were able to put on a fantastic day for all our members and guests. The Lashings staff facilitated the day brilliantly and the players went the extra mile to get in amongst our guests and make it a great experience for all involved.

The day was a huge success and the money raised will go a long way to helping us invest into the club and youth
cricket. We can’t wait to invite Lashings back to Weston-super-Mare!

In the final reckoning the overall profit from the day and a couple of other events built around the Lashings match was £17.5k.

£17.5k is a lot of money to us so it makes the hard work worth it. Especially when it is achieved through providing such a fantastic cricketing spectacle! As one of our team regularly says; “you would need to have an awful lot ofraffles, BBQ’s and other fund-raisers to make that money otherwise.”

Dave Garratt
Chairman Eversholt CC

We were so pleased that we took up the opportunity of hosting Lashings for the first time on Friday 29th July. The day was a complete success and proved that all the hard work was worthwhile as the Club were able to generate a very good return.

It also enabled us to show the local business community and cricket enthusiasts just what can be achieved, we received nothing but positive comments as everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.

The players were a credit to Lashings from taking a full role in junior coaching beforehand through to interacting with our guests and the crowd up to and during the game. They made the day a great experience and one that we will certainly look to repeat in the future.
